Synthesis of Peralkylpolysilanes and Peralkyoligostannanes
Per-tert-butylatedpolysilanes and per-tert-butylatedoligostannanes were to be studied to determine the differences and in their chemical properties. These compounds are of particular interest because of their electronic properties.[1] However, the experiments did not proceed as reported in the literature. From this valuable lessons were learned as far as how to read and report scientific findings.
